I am a proud parent of three amazing little boys, Conner, Liam and Keagan. As a day job I work at West Chester University as an Associate Professor of Educational Technology. I am a graduate of Penn State University with a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction. In a previous life I was a professional football (soccer) player.
In 2007 I became an Apple Distinguished Educator and in 2009 a Google Certified Teacher. My efforts in teaching and research have the focus of technology integration in Pre-K-12 and also in higher education. I recently had an edited book published titled Technology Leadership in Teacher Education: Integrated Solutions and Experiences. Plus published articles on eMentoring, 24/7 laptop access for teacher candidates, and ePortfolios. In 2010 a wrote a book chapter on podcasting. My most recent research revolves around eBooks and eBook readers. I am part of a team of researchers working on an eBook reader pilot with students and faculty at West Chester University.
Outside of teaching and research I serve on the Apple Distinguished Educator Advisory Board and help out as a Technology Specialist for the Honors College at West Chester University.

Let me start off to admit, I am a blogfan and I learn a lot from other peoples' opinion. In this age, public opinions count a lot more than it did in the past. More people are exposing their need for divergent thinkers and innovative processes for more powerful connections.
ReplyDeleteI am fortunate to be in class with Dr. Chris Penny. I am absorbing so mancy ways of technological methods of teaching. As a beginning learner myself, I hope to come a long way.
